Pam Benet was born in 1954 and grew up in Oregon. In childhood her grandmother recognized her artistic abilities and nurtured them, sending Pam off into a lifetime of creative endeavors.
Pam is a self taught Multidimentional Visionary Artist. Having worked with pastels, colored pencils, watercolors, charcoal, oils, pen and ink, acrylics, and natural pigments. using everything as her canvas, walls, floors, furniture, wood panels, wallis paper, canvas, and clothing to name a few. Her repritoir consists of mural painting, wall glazing, portraits, illustration, commision paintings.
Always looking for a bigger painting area, she is right at home with her mural art. Over time her work has evolved from a history of healing the body with sound, colour, and visualization. During this healing time of her life she made deep connections with guides and created an intrapersonal connection with nature, which is a huge influence on her art. Presently the work takes on two forms, self expression and co-creations, Mural art commission peices, and portraits are all created from interactions with clients. "These creations are selfless, my imagination is like a blank slate until I hear my clients ideas, dreams, favorite colours...then pop pop ideas flash and flow. It's thrilling really" says Pam of her process.
With the murals and wall glazing the art becomes more of an experience, very different from putting art on the wall, it's like walking into art and experiencing it - being in it - The other form of her work is an expression of her personal experience. Her passions [muse] are people, music, nature, and colour. She says "they are like mirrors for me. My paintings are an expression of my personal experience, I always use human form because people are like a reflection for me and the wisdom comes thru genuinely the beauty is in that moment of light and shadow with an ineffable message. I never rely totally on memory or my imagination, images come to me and I work in the present inspired by the light and the colour that is alive in the moment. these paintings have a vibration of ever evolving wisdom of true spirit, they are a private experience that is then shared."
